These structures must be adequately presentable as an equivalent single degree of freedom system with long fundamental period. The TLD, located at the top floors of the structure, can dissipate the external input energy into the system through the sloshing effect of the liquid inside the partially filled small containers. The proportions of the TLD are determined such that the liquid’s sloshing frequency is tuned to the vibration frequency of the structure. That will result in optimal performance of the TLD. The interaction between the TLD and the structure takes place through a shear force produced by the difference in hydrodynamic pressure acted upon the TLD walls. In this paper, the application of the TLD in reducing the seismic-induced vibration of the shear buildings will be considered. In this regard, first the governing differential equations of the sloshing liquid are adapted using the nonlinear shallow water wave theory (two-dimensional Navier Stokes equations) for the rectangular tanks subjected to ground acceleration. Using some coefficients obtained for the case of harmonic base excitation, these equations are generalized to consider the different liquid dampings and the wave breaking issue. Then, the equations of the motion of a MDOF shear building is derived taking into account the interaction of the TLD. Numerical simulations were performed to investigate the performance of the TLD for the harmonic base excitations with and without wave breaking and for the earthquake input. Finally, to extend the application of the TLD for the short or intermediate building structures with short period of vibration, a combination of TLD and base isolation system (LRB) is proposed. The performance of the TLD for the base isolated structures under full-scale earthquake loading is studied.}, keywords = {}, title_fa = {ارزیابی کارایی میراگر مایع هماهنگ شده (TLD) در کاهش پاسخ لرزه ای سازه ها}, abstract_fa = {میراگر مایع هماهنگ شده یا TLD1 از جمله سیستمهای کنترل فعال است که در سالهای اخیر برای کاهش ارتعاشات ناشی از باد در سازه هایی که به صورت یک سیستم یک درجه آزادی با زمان تناوب بلند قابل شبیه سازی اند، به کار گرفته شده است. این میراگر توسط تلاطم مایع کم عمق درون تعدادی مخزن که در قسمت بالای سازه نصب می شوند، انرژی ارتعاشی وارده به سازه را مستهلک می کند. مشخصات میراگر به گونه ای تنظیم و انتخاب می شوند که فرکانس تلاطم مایع درون میراگر با فرکانس ارتعاش سازه هماهنگ شود. عامل اندرکنش میراگر و سازه، نیروی برشی است که از اختلاف فشار مایع متلاطم بر جدارۀ مخازن ناشی می شود. هدف از انجام این مطالعه تعمیم کاربرد این گونه میراگرها در کاهش پاسخ لرزه ای سازه های برشی است. برای این کار، ابتدا معادله های اساسی تلاطم مایع برای مخازن مستطیلی بر مبنای نظریه امواج غیرخطی ارائه شده اند. این معادله ها با اعمال ضرایبی برای به حساب آوردن انواع میرایی ناشی از حرکت مایع و نیز برای در برگرفتن شکست موج در حالت تحریک هارمونیک تعمیم یافته اند. در ادامه، مسئلۀ اندرکنش میراگر و سازۀ برشی N درجه آزادی و معادله های مربوط به آن تبیین شده اند. با حل عددی معادله های اندرکنش میراگر و سازه، کارایی میراگر برای تحریکهای پایه هارمونیک در دو حالت وقوع و عدم وقوع شکست موج و نیز برای تحریک زلزله مورد مطالعه قرار گرفته است. در نهایت برای گسترش کاربرد TLD به سازه های متوسط و کوتاه با پریود ارتعاشی غالب کم، استفادۀ ترکیبی از TLD و سیستمهای ایزولۀ پایه در این گونه سازه ها پیشنهاد شده و کارایی آنها مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است.}, keywords_fa = {}, url = {https://jame.iut.ac.ir/article_1950.html}, eprint = {https://jame.iut.ac.ir/article_1950_c59c39051373f566df50e9b2bd0ec0d9.pdf} }
